Wireless Internet Access Policy
Free wireless Internet access in the library building is provided to the citizens of Canton and visitors to the Canton Free Library and its branches. When accessing the Internet using our wireless, users may connect with any wireless device.
Library staff cannot offer technical support for establishing or maintaining a connection. The Library is not responsible for hardware or software damage, or for loss or theft of unattended equipment.
Users will not be able to print from the wireless network.
The wireless Internet access at the Canton Free Library is open and unfiltered. The Canton Free Library is not responsible for any loss of data or damage to devices due to viruses or other malicious software, or for any form of identity theft that may occur while not using secure website protocols such as https.
All other Canton Free Library policies concerning legal and acceptable use of computers and the Internet, which must be read and agreed to, apply.
Individuals using the wireless service at the Rensselaer Falls branch of Canton Free Library must have current library cards in good standing.
